"States Of Jersey 'Still' Failing Children" WTF?
Islanders will next week get to see behind the scenes at the base of Jersey's independent inquiry into historical child abuse.
The public areas of the Seaton Places offices in St Helier will be open next Monday afternoon.
Members of the inquiry team will be on hand to answer questions and explain how the inquiry will run before the the hearings begin this summer.
When the hearings get underway, the first expert witness will be Professor Roger Bullock of Bristol University who will provide evidence about Jersey’s care system.
The Inquiry Chair, Frances Oldham QC says, “The panel are looking forward to beginning the public part of the Inquiry and would like to assure everyone that we will work as openly and transparently as possible.”
