"Accused McCormack Remanded - Others Released On Bail"

Murder accused remanded in custody




The man accused of murdering Colin Chevalier in Jersey at the weekend has been remanded in custody until June 16th.

Jersey Police charged Darren Neil McCormack with murder on Tuesday evening.





Today (Wednesday), the 35-year-old appeared in front of the Royal Court and heard the charge against him.


A 31 year old woman and another 35 year old man also held after the incident have been released on bail. 


46 year old Mr Chevalier's body was discovered at a house in St Helier at the weekend. He had suffered extensive injuries.


A Home Office pathologist flew to the island on Sunday, and a post mortem was carried out on Monday.




Colin Chevalier was found dead at the weekend.
