"Doh!"

"Wonders Never Cease"

Islanders are being asked by Jersey Police not to leave their keys in the ignition of their cars. This follows two car thefts over last night.

The police heard this morning that in both cases the keys were left in the ignition. Both incidents are currently under investigation and the cars have been returned to the rightful addresses in Highfield country apartments and Vallee des Vaux.

Inspector Sian Gidley said, “Both offences may have been avoided if the keys were not left in the ignition and the owners now have to deal with the fact that their insurance could be void because the car was not secure”.
