  1. The Court of Appeal found ''That they had seen no evidence that Jurat Le Breton was unfit to sit as a Jurat''

Evidence would be rejected anyway. No denial of Jurat Le Breton being unfit to sit as a Jurat

  2. From grounds put forward by the Pitmans below

    1. That Jurat Le Breton, one of two Jurats who heard the Royal Court Libel case was a friend of a non-executive director of the company which owns the JEP

The court of appeal said there was no evidence of an improper relationship between Jurat Le Breton and the former Guiton group director, Jurat Sally Le Brocq, they had seen no evidence that Jurat Le Breton was unfit to sit as a Jurat and that the Jurats had been properly directed at trial and had considered the relevant evidence properly.

Did the Jurats consider that Mr Le Breton was not an impartial Jurat? He may not have had an improper relationship, that is neither here nor there. He was a friend of a director of the company which owns the JEP.

    Hardly impartial.

  3. Ian, welcome back

One of the judges said that there was only three mentions of Mr Le Breton in The Sharp Report.

don't know what Sharp Report he was reading, I found eight, and three of those mentions, are very bad on him.
