"Great Idea Alan - Will You Be Paying Them?"

Dragons’ Den-style board ‘need to be paid’

40 Watts Maclean: Not shining so brightly

AN EXTRA £50,000 a year is needed to pay members of a Dragons’ Den-style board that will grant millions of pounds to Jersey companies, according to the Economic Development Minister.
Economic Development Minister Alan Maclean has lodged a proposition to tweak the way the Jersey Innovation Fund works.
He wants non-executive board members to be paid for their time and effort and thinks that the offer of compensation will attract a higher calibre of candidate.
Advocate Tim Herbert has been chosen to chair the board and is in the process of appointing three non-executive members to join the panel.

Why is there not a list of the Governments special friends getting big hand outs( sorry seats on strange boards ) in sub committees and quango's most of them bloody useless.
