The trial continues today (Weds) of the former Jersey Centenier accused of child sex crimes.

Today the third of three alleged victims continued to give evidence.

77-year-old Ralph Cyril Mauger is accused of seven counts of indecent assault and one of inciting an act of gross indecency.

The charges related to three girls aged 6 to 14 and are alleged to have happened between 1998 and 2006 at a house in Grouville.

Today under cross-examination by Advocate Stephen Baker, Witness C got increasingly upset and eventually broke down in tears under questioning.

Speaking as she sobbed, she said: "The fact is he caressed my boobs at a young age and I thought I could trust him. He touched my body with his bare hands and that's affecting me today."

Advocate Baker asked: "Anything you recall is a bit of a blur isn't it?"

Witness C replied: "Not everything."

Advocate Baker asked: "Are you sure you hadn't heard a rumour that Ralph touched someone?"

Witness C said: "No."

  1. He's Futu!....his lawyer has given the girls such a hard time when they have already been through hell (allegedly)....Baker is just looking stupid giving them such a hard time when he has virtually admitted his crimes, or maybe Baker is helping to crucify the old cu^t...

  2. We might hold off on judgment until the defense has its day in court. 18 witnesses suggests some interesting twists and turns just ahead -- from cross-exams in Day-2...
