"Nurses Ignored Again"

Nurse talks put off again

Nurses and midwives in Jersey are becoming increasingly frustrated over delays in pay negotiations with the States.

They say their income is about 18% lower than other care workers in the same roles - and putting the Health Service under huge strain by discouraging nurses from coming, and staying, in the island.

Nurses' Unions appealed last week to the States Employment Board for fairer and more equal pay, but talks have been put off yet again.
