|Bikers took part in the parade for the first time|
A crowd gathered around the Cenotaph and lined the street to the Town Hall to watch the ceremony and parade, which are organised by the Royal British Legion’s Jersey branch.
The ceremony came to a close with a march past the Town Hall before the Lieutenant-Governor and Bailiff. As the veterans, standard bearers and others in the parade marched along, they were applauded by the crowd.
Spectators also showed their appreciation for the 160 bikers and scooter riders who for the first time took up the rear of the parade before holding their own wreath-laying ceremony at the Cenotaph. The riders also raised £1,000 for the Poppy Appeal.
