"Alan Norton Served 32 Years For Jersey's Reputation? - We Cannot Ignore The Possibility!"

I'm innocent pleads convicted murderer

video
Full interview with convicted murderer Alan Norton.

Just left click once, or twice on the pic to read it

A man who served 32 years in jail for murdering his sister in Jersey is now trying to clear his name.

Alan Norton has undergone a lie detector test to prove his innocence.

He was found guilty of killing 10 year old Joy in 1965 and sentenced to execution.

He was the last inmate in Britain to escape being hanged.

Last week he passed a polygraph test and now wants to undergo a DNA one.

The police in Jersey say they won't be reopening the case and law officers say the lie detector results don't constitute new evidence.

Norton says he wants to find the real killer and finally get justice for his sister.

"He Should Have Bought One Of These!!!"

  2. ive read up all about this case ,and totally beleive he is innocent who in their right mind would serve a sentence like that he could have gone guilty and done less than half that sentence,,, he served that time because he wasnt going to plead guilty for a crime he didnt commit ...mick

  4. I would like to know is there any information on the web about the case highlighted in the video. What was the evidence the man was convicted on?

    1. Any foul play (corruption) whatsoever, and Jersey would have binned the evidence at the first available opportunity, I guarantee it. Can't find anything on the web, no surprises there!

  6. BBC been covering up for Jersey since at least the 60's who would have believed it!?

  7. Why would Scotland Yard request BBC drop the broadcasting of a documentary from Jersey?
Were Scotland Yard led to believe by the Jersey authorities they had a suspect? I would really like to know more about this case.

    1. Alan Norton was arrested on Oct 1st 1965. The newspaper report about the BBC TV programme being dropped ran the next day, Oct 2nd, so I think the decision was connected. Once an arrest has been made, the case would have become sub judice, and the restrictions on reporting outlined in the Contempt of Court Act would have come into force, making it impossible for the programme to go ahead.

    2. Did someone from BBC Jersey write the above comment?

    3. Perhaps Alan Norton's arrest was a way of making the programme go away

    4. Alan was not charged with Joy's murder until31st Jan 1966.The jury were out for two hours then found him guilty and there is a stream of lies where the jury were lead through the nose on this case. Believe me I have studied it for some twenty years now

    5. Believe me Alan dosen't need any favours. He never had them all those years ago and he won't get them now. The truth will be out. Lord knows where your getting your lack of Intelligence from but even you should be aware with the sensitivity of the Norton case and the way they have put an innocent man behind bars for so many years we wouldn't start putting our names over your blogg. Our own website will be open within two weeks out of respect to one of your bloggers who asked for information I gave the right to reply. Sorry wasn't aware you were so aggressive I will remain from your blogg here on in but those who want to know the truth of Alan can visit his official website soon. I also stand to correct you Alan was not an alleged child murderer he was a wrongly convicted one.

  8. Could be so as not to prejudice an ongoing case, or reveal any unnecessary info, but I seriously doubt it!

  11. You might have a chance of making an application under the Freedom of Information Act into what went on between the BBC and Scotland Yard. Just a thought.

  12. Back then, things were very different,I am not suggesting that the Police are not "heavy handed" now, recent events in London prove they definitely are, but back then, things were a lot worse.
Alan Norton had to sign a paper to agree there will be no appeal, was he coerced into this?, as an extremely frightened very young man it would have been easy for the SOJP to break him, I can well imagine what kind of Defence Lawyer (if any) he was given.
One thing for certain, this evil corrupt Administration in Jersey will do WHATEVER is necessary to obstruct Alan Norton in his crusade to clear his name, they have a wealth of experience in matters like this, they cannot possibly continue to get away with it forever, something must give.
Everyday I pray for a Whistleblower!

    1. Alan did not kill his sister I am in contact with him and there are moves to clear this up once and for all. When you see the photo in the paper the day after his conviction the defence shaking hands with the Baliff with a heading WWe got the result" you just know its wrong. At the moment Jersey are shutting down on this case the JEP more so. Think on Jerse this is not going away we won't allow it
