A FORMER head of the Trinity honorary police and parish financial trustee who broke the housing laws has been fined £24,000 by the Royal Court.

Richard John Le Sueur (59) was described by the court on Friday as ‘having a cavalier attitude’ to the law for illegally dividing two homes into flats and renting them to unqualified tenants.

Le Sueur, a builder, has served as a Centenier and Chef de Police of Trinity and was also the parish’s Procureur du Bien Public when he was charged. He immediately resigned from the role, which he held for nine years.
