Health Minister to speak out about Silkworth
The addiction centre says nobody has been sent there for months, a claim refuted by the health department.
Silkworth Lodge, the only residential treatment centre for drug and alcohol addiction in the Island claims it has not received any referrals from the State's Drug and Alcohol Service since last October.
Now Health, Social Security and Housing Panel chairman Deputy Kristina Moore is aiming to get to the bottom of the issue.
Deputy Moore said: "There are many questions to be answered as both statements made by Silkworth Lodge and the minister contradict each other. This is why we are holding an extra hearing with the minister,"
The public hearing is at Church House, starting at 10am.
