Chamber offer to charity
"Which Should Be Free!!!"
Chamber hope the move will bring business and charity closer together.
David Warr, Chamber President, said: "I hope that local Charities will see this as an opportunity to develop the profile of the third sector. Changing demographics and the demand to control government spending means that there is an urgent need to review the structure and funding of this vitally important sector. The long term benefits to our community should not be underestimated".
Existing member Jason Wyse, CEO, Silkworth Charity Group said: "Silkworth Charity Group became a member of Chamber in September 2011. There is a huge amount of expertise amongst Chamber, being part of an organisation that represents the business community as a whole and the Third Sector here in Jersey is something that we can all benefit from, in one way or another."
Chamber say they will be contacting charities individually in the weeks ahead about the initiative.
