"A 'Fine' Start As Deputy"

St Helier Deputy James Baker gets speeding fine

A St Helier Deputy elected in October has been fined for speeding by Jersey's Magistrates' Court.
Deputy James Baker, 37, avoided disqualification from driving as he admitted the offence on Thursday and has no previous convictions.
He was caught driving at 52mph in a 30mph zone on his motorbike along La Grande Route De Faldouet in St Martin on 9 October.
He was fined £225 and has had note of the conviction put on his licence.
