"Free Tax-Payers Money On Offer In Jersey"

Dont miss out on 'fantastic opportunity'

If you have a bright idea for driving forward Jersey's tourism industry, there could be some taxpayers' cash waiting for you.

The Tourism Development Fund advisory panel is inviting public and non-profit voluntary organisations to apply for grants to support events and projects that will attract visitors to Jersey.

In recent times money from the fund has gone to Jersey Heritage to help it develop self-catering accommodation in historic buildings; the Liberation Music Festival and the Tour de Bretagne cycling race.

Development Fund chairman Peter Funk say it is a "fantastic opportunity".

"Tourism is essential to the Island's economy, and the Tourism Development Fund can provide the up-front funding necessary to invest now to bring future returns," said Funk.

Guidelines are available on the Jersey Tourism website at and staff from the Economic Development Department are available to provide further information and assistance.

The closing date for applications is Friday 11 November 2011

My Suggestion was entitled "Tourism Booster" but I don't think it will be published!

"How about a show trial of all the criminals who hold positions within the States of Jersey?
After all, it's about time as it is going to happen any way!"

Now that it appears the "comment problem" is under control have a read of THIS

  2. Perhaps if Tourism looked into the value for money discounts they are (not) getting with their advertising then they would have more money to spend ...

Remember Tourism, this is our money that is being 'played' about with here.
