THE ashes of four members of the same family killed at Victoria Crescent eight weeks ago have been laid to rest in their native Poland.

Urns containing the ashes of Izabela Rzeszowska (30), her two children Kinga (5) and Kacper (2) and her father Marek Garstka (56) were transported to the country following a special service at St Thomas’ Church last week.
On that occasion, just Mrs Rzeszowska’s brother, Krzysztof Garstka, and his uncle Wieslaw Garstka and his wife had been present. The rest of the family waited until the remains were back in Poland to attend a private funeral this week in their hometown of Bydgoszcz, in the north of the country.
