Man charged following Grouville Hill collision

A 59-year-old man has been charged with motoring offences following a collision on Grouville Hill in the early hours on Saturday morning.

The accident left a 49-year-old female pedestrian in hospital with leg and head injuries.

Antonio Monteiro has been charged with driving without due care and attention and failing to stop at the scene of a road traffic collision.

Police enquiries into the collision remain ongoing.

  1. I know the victim, so know he drove off and left her with injuries that could of killed her. So therefore in this situation I do believe the JEP and police were right to name him. What he did was horrible and it is going to take the victim a long time to recover from the injuries that she has been left with.
