Ozouf: I won’t resign over police move
THE Treasury Minister has insisted that he will not resign over the Lime Grove House fiasco after facing a barrage of questions in the States on the failed relocation of police headquarters.
During a States sitting on Monday, Senator Philip Ozouf was forced to his feet for much of the afternoon as he handled dozens of questions about the affair.
The Senator has been under fire for the last fortnight over his handling of the failed attempt to buy the site on the Green Street roundabout for a new police station.
Asked by several Members whether he would be stepping down over the failure to secure the property for a new police headquarters, Senator Ozouf mounted a defence of his position and said that he accepted responsibility for his actions.
‘I have nothing to resign over,’ he said.
