"The JEP Attempt To Be Accountable To The Public"

The Jersey Evening Post stop their readers commenting on contentious stories,
then spew out this BULLSHIT!

STATES Members are wasting taxpayers’ money on everything from golden handshakes and trips abroad to unnecessary consultants, according to the JEP’s 2011 pre-election survey.

In the latest damning reflection of what Islanders think of the current States, an overwhelming majority of people said that they wanted States Members to stop wasting money and get to grips with their budgets.

Readers’ responses to the open-ended section of the survey also confirmed the over-riding concern about the States’ failure to control immigration, which also emerged from the first phase of the exercise.

  1. Maybe it's a calculated effort to make the readers think the JEP cares about these issues, so they will be trusted to actually report on them. Bwahahah!
