A JERSEY hotel is at the centre of an internet hate campaign after apparently banning a leading anti-whaling activist from its grounds.
Paul Watson, the founder of Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, claims he was ordered out of the hotel after booking a two-night stay during this week’s meeting of the International Whaling Committee.
The 60-year-old claims that the manager of the hotel cancelled his booking as he tried to check-in and threatened to call the police if he refused to leave.
A hotel spokesman said that the company had an agreement not to comment on the conference until the event was over. He said that the hotel would make a full statement to address Mr Watson’s claims tomorrow.
