"Well Done Jersey Mugs - Another £1.1 Million In Backhanders - Plus £6 Million - Plus Ogley & Pollard's £800,000"

MORE than £1.1 million was spent by the States last year on pay-offs to employees whose contracts were terminated.
That figure, revealed in the States Report and Accounts for 2010 published today, is more than £400,000 more than the amount paid out in 2009 and does not include over £6 million spent on voluntary redundancy packages.
The revelation came on a day when Chief Minister Terry Le Sueur was due to face tough questions from States Members about claims that two senior civil servants received golden handshake pay-offs totalling £800,000.
