"Our Pictures The Perfect Tribute To The Queen"
TWO of Jersey’s ‘remarkable and resonant’ images of Queen Elizabeth II will lead the National Portrait Gallery’s diamond jubilee exhibition.
Equanimity, a holographic portrait of the Queen by light artist Chris Levine, was commissioned by Jersey Heritage to commemorate the Island’s 800-year relationship with the English Crown.
The image, which hangs in Mont Orgueil’s Tudor Hall, along with Lightness of Being, another photograph from Mr Levine’s project showing the Queen with her eyes closed, will open and close the exhibition which begins its UK tour at the end of the month.
