"Will Jersey Get Child Care Right This Time?"
Susie Pinel, chairman of the charity that will run the home, said it would now offer better facilities.
She said: "There are now six bedrooms for children in residential care and two independent living units in what used to be the play-group.
"These are for older children who have been in care for the best part of their life to help them get used to a bit of independence before they have to leave residential care."
Ms Pinel said they also want to offer the children important extras like days out.
The charity will also provide financial support and guidance to children and their families in Jersey when they are struggling.
It will open on 4 June with a garden party.
