"Poorer And Unhappier"

THE majority of Islanders are poorer and unhappier than before the recession and believe the States’ flagship £44 million programme to boost the economy has failed, according to the JEP’s Recession and You survey.
Earlier this week we revealed that the majority of people who completed the survey feel the States has failed to protect ordinary Islanders from the recession.
And today, in the final part of this week’s recession series, we publish the full results for the first time.
The survey shows that many Islanders feel worse off than they did before the downturn took hold three years ago, and that many live in fear of losing their jobs.
