"The Blithering Idiot - Soon To Be Ex Minister"

Exam results ‘should not be published’

Education Minister James Reed.

EDUCATION Minister James Reed says that there is a culture of openness at his department – but says that he will still not publish exam results.
Two months after GCSE and A-Level results from across Island schools were revealed, a Scrutiny panel report has backed their publication and called on the department to do more to tell parents and taxpayers about school performance.
But Deputy Reed says that he disagrees with the report, and says that when the results of the fee-paying schools are included, Jersey’s students slightly outperform those in the UK.

  8. "Culture of Openness", not a phrase that could ever apply to Jersey.
