LOCUMS covering the duties of four doctors on restricted duties at the Hospital have cost the taxpayer more than £1 million, the Health Minister has revealed.
That amount does not include the salaries of the doctors who are banned from carrying out operations. It was also claimed during question time in the States yesterday that one of the doctors on restricted duties, believed to be consultant gynaecologist John Day, is desk-bound and has seen just one patient since last May.
Question time below, this recording is absolutely astounding.
